Central Bank Deputy Meets UNAMA, UNDP Officials on Banking Capacity Building

Sadiqullah Khalid, first deputy of Afghanistan's Central Bank, met with Andrika Ratwatte, deputy of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), and Stephen Rodriguez, director of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

According to a Central Bank press release, the meeting focused on implementing a joint framework for capacity building in the banking and financial sector.

The press release states that this joint framework will facilitate the collection and coordination of technical assistance and activities from both international and domestic institutions aimed at enhancing capacities in the banking and financial areas.

The discussions underscore efforts to strengthen Afghanistan's financial infrastructure through international cooperation. Named officials from the Central Bank and UN entities participated, highlighting concrete steps toward collaborative capacity development.
