CENTCOM: Six US Soldiers Killed in War with Iran So Far
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that six American soldiers have been killed so far in the war with Iran.
In a statement posted on its X page, CENTCOM said the bodies of two previously missing soldiers were recovered from facilities targeted during the first wave of Iranian attacks in the region. The command added that the identities of those killed will not be released for 24 hours after their closest relatives are notified.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society announced on the previous day that 555 people had been killed in attacks by Israel and the United States against Iran.
Separately, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's capital, was recently targeted by two Iranian unmanned aircraft. The US State Department has urged American citizens in more than 10 countries to leave those nations.
US President Donald Trump told NewsNation that Washington's response to the embassy attack and the deaths of US soldiers in the war with Iran would be announced soon.
