Book Evaluation Commission Holds Regular Meeting Under Ministry of Information and Culture

KABUL — The regular meeting of the Book Evaluation Commission took place under the chairmanship of Maulvi Hayatullah Muhaajir Farahi, deputy minister of publications for the Ministry of Information and Culture.

At the start of the session, the commission's secretary presented a report on the previous meeting. The activities of the commission were positively assessed.

During the meeting, decisions were made regarding 35 titles comprising 620 volumes of books that were either imported or exported. Books authored in accordance with Islamic and national values received permission for printing.

At the conclusion of the meeting, 10 book titles were referred to commission members for further review. They are expected to submit reports on these titles at the next session.

The commission's work focuses on evaluating publications to ensure alignment with specified cultural and religious standards. This routine gathering underscores ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Information and Culture to regulate book printing, importation, and exportation in Afghanistan.
