Bamyan Directorate Distributes 21,903 Citizenship Cards Over Past Year
BAMYAN, Afghanistan -- Bamyan province's Central Statistics and Information Directorate distributed 21,903 citizenship cards over the past year, including 14,565 electronic cards and 7,338 paper cards, Maulvi Khairullah Mubarez, head of the directorate, said.
The directorate also issued 92 birth cards and 496 death certificates during the period. It provided corrective services for 2,392 paper cards.
One electronic card distribution center remains active in Bamyan, offering services including issuance of new cards, duplicates, renewals, corrections and registration of vital events such as births and deaths.
In addition to civil registry services, the directorate conducted statistical data collection using 192 forms to gather social and economic information. It recorded prices for 315 items and carried out address mapping and food security surveys.
