Baghlan province's Statistics and Information Directorate collected 7.471 million Afghanis in revenue over the past three months. The funds came from electronic and paper ID services and other statistical work. All revenue was deposited into the state treasury.
A total of 11,093 electronic IDs were issued along with 6,530 paper IDs. More than 600 corrective services were also delivered. These corrective services cover ID corrections, birth certificates, and death registrations.
Electronic ID distribution is available only in Pul-e-Khumri and the central district of Baghlan. Other statistical services can be accessed in all districts. About 80 percent of services that used to require trips to the capital are now handled locally in the province.
Mawlawi Shafiqullah Shahzad, head of the Baghlan Statistics and Information Directorate, reported the revenue and service figures.
