Agreement Signed to Simplify Building Permit Issuance in Kabul
KABUL — Officials from the Islamic Emirate's General Presidency of Administrative Affairs, its Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Administration, and Kabul Municipality have signed an agreement to streamline the building permit issuance process.
The agreement reduces the number of steps required from 455 over 389 days to 69 steps in 20 days. Signatories include Sheikh Noor ul Haq Anwar, head of the General Presidency of Administrative Affairs; Maulvi Abdul Rashid, mayor of Kabul; and Qari Wafiullah Wafa, head of Administrative Reforms and Civil Services.
The reforms align with Decree No. 3 dated 15/2/1447 Hijri and Cabinet Resolution No. 5 dated 1/3/1447 H.Q. Sheikh Noor ul Haq Anwar stated that the changes will reduce bureaucracy, accelerate urban services, and enhance transparency.
Dr. Sadruddin Tajik, deputy for planning and urban development at Kabul Municipality, confirmed that the reforms simplify the process following a technical evaluation.
The initiative aims to cut red tape and improve efficiency in urban development, supporting broader administrative simplification efforts by the Islamic Emirate.
