Afghanistan’s national futsal team has advanced seven positions to rank 21st globally in the latest FIFA futsal rankings, accumulating 1,194.68 points. The latest update places the squad fifth in Asia, trailing only Iran, Thailand, Japan, and Indonesia.

The ranking reflects the team’s recent international performances, alongside improved tactical planning and increased match experience for players. The national side previously held the 28th position worldwide before the current update. In the global standings, Brazil, Portugal, and Spain maintain the top three positions. Elsewhere in the rankings, North Macedonia recorded the most significant upward movement, advancing 24 places. Conversely, Lebanon experienced the steepest decline, dropping 18 positions.
