The Afghanistan Cricket Board announced that the national cricket team will travel to India in Jauza 1405 for a series hosted by the Indian Cricket Board, consisting of one international Test match and three international one-day matches against the Indian national team.

The series will begin with the Test match from 16 to 20 Jauza at the new Chandigarh stadium in Punjab state. Following the Test, the teams will play three one-day internationals: the first on 24 Jauza in Dharamsala, the second on 27 Jauza in Lucknow, and the third on 30 Jauza in Chennai.

The Cricket Board noted that this will be the second time Afghanistan faces India in a Test match. It will also be the first full one-day international series between the two teams.

Discussions are ongoing for three Twenty20 matches between Afghanistan and India, scheduled to be hosted by Afghanistan later this year.
