Afghan Activists in Sweden Protest Human Rights Violations in Afghanistan
Demonstrators urged the United Nations and European governments to end all engagement with the Taliban and to block entry for its representatives.

Afghan activists and refugees in Sweden organized a demonstration to highlight ongoing human rights concerns in Afghanistan. Participants carried placards and raised slogans focused on the detention of women and girls in Herat province.
The protesters specifically condemned actions by the Taliban Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. They cited the holding of dozens of women and girls over what authorities described as bad hijab, along with the suppression of peaceful protests in the same area.
Activists at the event characterized the treatment of women as gender apartheid and hostage-taking aimed at removing women from society. They called on the United Nations, Sweden and the European Union to avoid all engagement with the Taliban.
Demonstrators also opposed the issuance of visas or entry permissions for Taliban representatives to travel to Europe. Chants during the protest included the phrase Europe is not a place for terrorists.
Similar demonstrations against the Taliban took place in Hamburg, Berlin and Geneva. The Swedish protest formed part of these coordinated actions by Afghan communities abroad.

Reliability assessment
Single source provides direct, detailed reporting of a public protest event with specific locations, slogans, and demands; the verifiable fact is that the outlet reported the demonstration occurred.
The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Afghanistan International: "strongly condemned", "clear example of hostage-taking and an attempt to completely eliminate women from society", "legitimizing terrorism and ignoring the blood of victims" — these phrases use strong evaluative language, emotional framing of the Taliban's actions as criminal and immoral, and advocacy for isolation.
