10 International Airlines Conducting Regular Flights to Afghanistan

KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation announced that 10 international airlines and two domestic airlines are now conducting regular flights to the country's international airports.

The ministry attributed this development to continuous efforts aimed at improving air services. Officials described it as a beneficial step toward expanding Afghanistan's air connectivity and strengthening ties with the region and the world.

According to the ministry, five international airports and 22 local airports are currently active across the country. These facilities provide regular services for transporting passengers and commercial goods, supporting enhanced aviation operations nationwide.

This expansion in airline operations underscores ongoing improvements in Afghanistan's aviation infrastructure. The ministry's statement highlights the role of these flights in facilitating passenger travel and cargo movement, contributing to broader economic and international engagement.

The regular flights by the 10 international carriers, alongside the two domestic ones, mark a significant increase in air traffic to key international gateways. This aligns with efforts to bolster the operational capacity of the nation's airports, which now number 27 in total with their respective services.
