Netanyahu to Meet Trump in Washington on Iran Negotiations

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet US President Donald Trump in Washington to discuss negotiations with Iran, Netanyahu's office announced.
Al Jazeera reported on February 7 that the meeting is set for the following Wednesday. The two leaders are expected to address the ongoing Washington-Tehran negotiation process and matters related to Iran's nuclear and missile programs.
In a statement, Netanyahu's office said the prime minister believes any talks with Tehran must incorporate limitations on Iran's ballistic missile program and a halt to Tehran's support for its regional allies.
This planned meeting follows indirect discussions between US and Iranian officials in Oman on Friday. Those talks focused on Iran's nuclear program with the aim of easing tensions and preventing potential military confrontation.
Iran has previously maintained that its ballistic missile program is non-negotiable, characterizing it as an internal defense issue impervious to foreign intervention.
