Iranian Parliament to Review Tehran-Washington Talks in Closed Session

Abbas Moqtadaei, deputy chairman of Iran's parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, announced that lawmakers will examine the latest status of Iran-US negotiations during a closed session.
Moqtadaei stated that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi may attend the session scheduled for Monday. The remarks were reported ahead of the meeting.
The latest round of talks occurred on Friday in Oman, with Araghchi representing Iran and Steve Witkoff, special envoy of US President Donald Trump, participating for the United States.
Following the discussions, Araghchi described the start of negotiations as "good" and indicated that both sides would return to their capitals for further consultations to determine the format of future talks.
Trump commented shortly after the session concluded, stating, "We had good talks with Iran and the Iranians really want an agreement."
The closed parliamentary review comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts between Tehran and Washington.
